Salvatore Ferragamo men's

At the beginning of twentieth century, a young Salvatore Ferragamo left Italy headed to the United States. After a short period in Boston, he moved to California where he began to work for the movie industry: he soon became “the shoemaker of the stars” and a clear point of reference with his Hollywood Boot Shop, located in Las Palmas.
His reputation grew steadily during his lifetime and created shoes for some of the most famous people of the time, such as Judy Garland, Audrey Hepburn, the Duchess of Windsor, Sophia Loren, Marilyn Monroe and many others.
In 1927, Ferragamo went back to Italy and established the company headquarters in Florence. In 1938, Ferragamo bought Palazzo Spini Feroni, one of the great palaces of Florence, which was to become the seat of the company's flagship store and of a museum dedicated to Ferragamo's life and work.
After his death, in 1960, his wife Wanda and children took over the company and introduced ready-to-wear lines, handbags and silk accessories. The company now also produces perfumes, eyewear and watches and is distributed worldwide.
Since 2011, Massimiliano Giornetti has been in charge of the creative direction and has been evolving the brand in line with the original spirit of the founder.
