Back in fashion in the spring summer 2024, the women’s one-pieces find again all their glory thanks to the trendiest beachwear collections. Fashion designers rediscover the charm of the female silhouette recalling the Fifties, but decide also to show-off the body with plunging necklines inspired by the Eighties and to create couture-like models, precious and decidedly sensual.

The beach becomes a catwalk with the new Haute Couture one-pieces

Under the summer sun and with the tan, the spring summer 2024 beachwear look might be precious and shining. The beach turns into the preferred runway for elegant women who want to be seductive and eye-catching with couture-style outfits. For a charming look the trendiest one-pieces are matched to wide sunglasses for a touch of mystery and to big totes bags to carry all the indispensable beach accessories and maybe some fashion magazines to relax with a pleasant lecture. The most precious and super sexy one-pieces have a shining effect and are made with metallized lycra, like the trikini with crossing laces and metallic decors or the asymmetrical models with glitter inlays proposed by Julien MacDonald. A piece that seems a Haute Couture creation was seen in the latest Lenny Niemeyer’s fashion show, with sculptural pleats and a high belt on waistline. The newest idea is to match this kind of one-pieces with a midi length skirt for an elegant aperitif on the beach. The luxury of the Baroque-style decoration inspires the creations of Custo Barcelona, which realizes magnificent embroideries on silver lycra, and of Versace, which prints the bathing suits with luxurious golden patterns. Also Moschino and Lisa Marie Fernandez are fascinating by the metallic touches, using them to print the one-pieces with maxi logos, as well as Max Mara that turns its logos into an all-over print on laminated lycra.

Ladylike or pin-up, the beachwear is inspired by the Fifties

Hollywood’s Divas inspire the fashion designers with their charm and sensuality. The Marilyn-style one-pieces emphasize the female body and the curvy lines with low-rise leg bottoms and many variants of fabrics and colors:

Whether they are printed or in solid colors, these one-pieces are perfectly combinable with straw bags, wide colored sunglasses and flip-flops, but the new trend for an even more glamour look wants them matched to the foulard which frames the face, tied under the chin or in the back of the head in the evergreen bandana’s style.

Eighties are back, with exaggerated prints and neon colors

One of the best trends for the summer 2024 is surely the great return of the 80s fashion, with its excesses and bold style both for shapes and colors. Very fashionable are the neon colors, seen on the catwalks of Alberta Ferretti, Agent Provocateur, Parah and Dsquared2. The most extravagant and funny prints are those with comics-style created by Chiara Ferragni, Jeremy Scott and Moschino, which recalls the graffiti art and the flamboyant luxury of those years. Animal print is one of the great protagonists of the fashion weeks and we can find it in the zebra version in the collection of Gucci, Heidi Klein and Isabel Marant. The more classic spotted pattern is instead in the fashion shows of Diane Von Furstenberg, Fisico and Stella McCartney. Stripes and zig-zag are present in the collections of Missoni, which realizes stripes of varying height to give movement to the silhouette, in the strapless models by Guess or in those more extravagant by Libertine, with long sleeves and multicolor geometrical patterns.

The newest one-pieces have high-cut leg lines and deep necklines, for a super sexy woman

The exaggerations are also in the very deep necklines and in the very high-cut leg lines. We can find them at Monica Hansen, who unifies the extremely sexy silhouette to a tender pink shade, in the models with contrasting edges by GCDS or in those with deep halter neckline made by Saint Laurent. The asymmetries are present in the one-shoulder bath suits with extremely high-leg lines created by Isabel Marant, in those more extravagant by Chromat, which proposes trikini models with contrasting bright colors, and in the total white creations by Agent Provocateur, which designs sensual asymmetrical cut-outs to emphasize the line of the hips.
